Application Process

To indicate your interest of employment with the Hailey Police Department,
please submit a resume and cover letter as stated above. Chief England would be happy to meet prospective applicants prior to the hiring process, simply email him and arrange a date/time to call or meet.

Once a pool of promising applicants has been identified, you will be contacted to arrange an interview with HPD command staff.

Depending upon the results of your interview, you would go through the following steps:

* Oral Board (interview)
* Written Application
* Report Writing Exercise
* Physical Readiness Test
* Phycological Exam
* Conditional Offer of Employment
* Personal Background Investigation
* Polygraph Examination
* Official Offer of Employment

*You may be dismissed at any point throughout this hiring process.
